Bio
With over 20 years of legal experience, John Nachlinger has built his career on one radical belief: divorce doesn’t have to mean chaos, court battles, or losing everything you’ve worked for.
Unlike traditional divorce attorneys who profit from prolonged conflict, John co-founded Netsquire around transparency, flat-fee predictability, and resolutions that protect what matters most. He’s also the force behind Divorce Shield, where he helps men across the country take back control of their divorce before it takes control of them.
In over two decades of practice, John has helped hundreds of couples navigate divorce without the financial devastation or emotional warfare that destroys families. His clients regularly tell him, “You saved our kids from watching us tear each other apart” and “I never thought divorce could feel this manageable.”
As a Qualified Mediator in New Jersey and relentless student of his craft, John constantly sharpens his skills to deliver smarter, more creative resolutions. His calm demeanor, sharp legal mind, and strategic thinking make him the kind of ally you want when the stakes are high — and the tension is higher.
The Credentials That Matter
Born and raised in Texas, John graduated magna cum laude from Texas A&M University before earning his J.D. cum laude from Seton Hall Law, where he racked up awards for Family Law, leadership on Law Review, and a seat on the Moot Court Board.
He began his legal career clerking for two respected family court judges, then joined a boutique firm where he quickly gained a reputation for resolving high-conflict divorces without unnecessary warfare. In 2014, he co-founded New Jersey Divorce Solutions, and in 2022, launched Netsquire — a modern law firm built for professionals with complex lives who refuse to let divorce define them.
Beyond the Courtroom
A committed advocate for equality and justice, John has served in multiple leadership roles with the New Jersey State Bar Association, including six years on the Board of Trustees and past Chair of the LGBTQ Rights Section. He’s a frequent speaker on LGBTQ legal issues and active member of both the American Bar Association and National LGBTQ+ Bar Association’s Family Law Institute.
Licensed to practice in New Jersey, New York, and before the Supreme Court of the United States, John balances his driven professional life with a vibrant personal one. He lives in Princeton with his husband, their daughter, and two spoiled pets. When he’s not guiding clients through major life transitions, you’ll find him traveling, cooking, or proving that classical clarinetists can, in fact, make excellent divorce lawyers.
For professionals who refuse to let divorce define or destroy them, John provides the strategic guidance and steady hand needed to close one chapter with dignity and open the next with confidence.
