Mr. Bean was born and raised in Colts Neck, New Jersey. He attended high school at Christian Brothers Academy in Lincroft, New Jersey and later graduated from Villanova University, where he earned a double major in Economics and History, cum laude. While in college, Mr. Bean participated in summer internships with Chown Dewhurst, LLP, a tax law and economic advisory firm in London, United Kingdom and with the United Nations Environment Program, Basel Convention, in Geneva, Switzerland. Mr. Bean also completed summer coursework at the London School of Economics.
Upon completion of his undergraduate studies, Mr. Bean enrolled at Seton Hall University School of Law. During his time as a law student, Mr. Bean was a judicial intern at the Monmouth County Courthouse for Hon. Michael A. Guadagno, J.S.C. in the Chancery Division, Family Part as well as for Hon. Ira E. Kreizman, J.S.C. in the Criminal Division. Mr. Bean was also a summer law clerk at the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office in Freehold, New Jersey and was a legal intern for the King’s County District Attorney’s Office in Brooklyn, New York.
Upon graduating from law school, Mr. Bean was a judicial law clerk to Hon. Ronald L. Reisner, J.S.C., in the Superior Court of New Jersey, Criminal Division, Monmouth Vicinage for the 2009-2010 court term. Mr. Bean’s time as a judicial intern and judicial law clerk in the Superior Court allowed him to develop a close familiarity with the operations of the court and deepened his understanding of New Jersey law and its application to cases and issues before the court.
After finishing his clerkship, Mr. Bean spent three years at the Cohen Law Group, a general practice firm, where he worked on a variety of matters in the areas of municipal law, bankruptcy law, civil and family litigation, and estate planning and probate law. Subsequently, Mr. Bean operated his own law practice in New Brunswick, New Jersey, where the majority of his work was in the field of divorce and family law. Finally, Mr. Bean spent time as an associate at the Law Offices of Jef Henninger, where almost all of his time was devoted to cases in the divorce and family law area. Mr. Bean joined Previte Nachlinger in March 2017 and focuses on divorce and family law exclusively.
Mr. Bean is a member of the New Jersey Bar Association and the Middlesex County Bar Association and is licensed to practice law in the State of New Jersey.
Mr. Bean resides in New Brunswick with his wife, Allison, and their black lab, Gabe.
